This privacy policy explains how Cancun.TV ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through cancun.tv (the "Site"). The Site is a single-purpose acquisition page operated privately by the domain owner. We collect minimal data, do not run advertising trackers, and do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
This policy is written to align with the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR / UK GDPR), and Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares, "LFPDPPP"). Where one regime grants stronger rights than the others, we apply the stronger right regardless of where you live.
Notice at collection (CCPA)
At or before the point of collection, you should know: we collect contact and offer information you submit through the form on this Site or by direct email; we use it solely to evaluate, respond to, and (if applicable) close a domain-acquisition transaction; we retain it only as long as needed for that purpose plus a reasonable period for record-keeping; we do not sell it; we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising; and you have the rights described in Section 7 below.
1. What we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
a. Information you submit voluntarily through the offer form
- Name
- Email address
- Company or entity name (optional)
- Buyer type (optional)
- Offer amount
- Free-text notes you choose to include
b. Information sent in any direct email correspondence
- Anything you choose to write to offers@cancun.tv
c. Standard server and request information
- IP address, user agent, referrer, request timestamp — collected by our hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages) for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics. We do not maintain a separate analytics or advertising tracker.
We do not collect government identifiers, payment card information, precise geolocation, biometric data, sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA, or special categories of data as defined by the GDPR. We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and the Site is not directed at children.
2. Why we collect it (purposes and legal bases)
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Read, evaluate, and respond to your offer or inquiry.
- Negotiate, document, and (if applicable) close a domain-acquisition transaction with you.
- Maintain basic transactional records as required by law and for our own legitimate interests in record-keeping.
- Protect the Site against abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or other GDPR-aligned jurisdictions, our legal bases are: (i) consent, when you submit the offer form or send us an email; (ii) contractual necessity, when we are negotiating or executing a domain transfer with you; (iii) legitimate interests, for security, abuse prevention, and record-keeping; and (iv) legal obligation, where applicable record-keeping or tax law requires retention.
3. Service providers we use
We use a small number of third-party services to operate the Site. Each is bound by its own privacy commitments and we use only what is necessary to operate.
- Cloudflare Pages — static hosting, DNS, and content delivery. Cloudflare may log standard request metadata for security purposes.
- Web3Forms — handles offer-form submissions and forwards them to our email. Web3Forms processes the form contents you submit.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on the Site. May log IP and user agent according to Google's policies.
- Email infrastructure — standard email provider for the
@cancun.tvaddress. - Escrow and registrar services — only when a transaction is in progress, and only for the parties to that transaction.
We do not currently use ad networks, behavioural-advertising trackers, marketing-automation pixels, or session-replay tools. If this changes, we will update this policy and clearly disclose the change.
4. We do not sell or share personal information
Under the CCPA/CPRA: we do not "sell" personal information and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have no need to. There is no "Do Not Sell or Share" requirement triggered by our practices, but if you wish to confirm this in writing or be added to a record of objection regardless, contact us at the address below.
5. Data retention
We retain the contents of offer-form submissions and direct correspondence for as long as is reasonably necessary to evaluate, respond to, and (if applicable) close the matter — and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping, audit, and dispute-resolution purposes. If a transaction does not proceed, we typically delete or anonymise correspondence within two years of the last contact, unless legal obligations require longer retention. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 7).
6. International data transfers
Cancun.TV is operated from the United States. By submitting information through the Site, you understand that your data will be processed in the United States and potentially in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
